ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS
Where are your products made?
From our home-base in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, our products are sold and shipped to a wide array of clients all over the world, from art collectors and decorators to individuals who share our values.
Why is every one of your products unique?
Imperfections such as cracks and blemishes are characteristic of the natural beauty of the wood and our Ki-design philosophy mandates we never attempt to eliminate them. Each piece is entirely handmade, so slight variations in form and measures are to be expected. Therefore, each piece has a unique identity.
What type of wood do you work with?
We work with Machaerium scleroxylon, Bolivia's treasure wood known locally as "morado", and internationally as "Bolivian rosewood". Located in remote regions of eastern Bolivia bordering the Amazon basin managed-forestry operations are strictly monitored by international and local authorities. From their production leftovers roots, trunks and branches are brought to our master workshop.
What if I can’t find a product on your website that I saw previously?
Most of our pieces are one-of-a-kind and once sold will not be available again. We continually update our product inventory to display current availability.
ORDERING
What are your payment terms?
Payment is required in full prior to shipping. We accept payment via credit card.
What is your pricing policy?
All prices are stated in USD and subject to change without prior notice.
What sales tax is applied to orders?
Sales tax will be charged on all purchases sent within the state of Texas. The current rate is 8.25% of the total price of merchandise. Orders shipping outside of TX state do not have sales tax applied.
SHIPPING
How long will it take to receive my order?
We ship all orders directly from Santa Cruz, Bolivia through a shipping agreement with DHL. Transit times depend on your location within the US (with an approximate transit time of 5-6 business days). Shipment tracking is available through our website via a direct link to DHL's international platform.
RETURNS
What is your return policy?
Due to the nature of our work, all sales are final as we cannot accomodate returns of replacements.
What if my product arrives damaged?
All of our pieces undergo extensive quality control prior to packaging and shipping. Damage in shipping and transit does though, unfortunately, occur on rare occasions. The customer is responsible for inspecting each product within 10 days of receipt and prior to installation. Any and all defects should be reported immediately, and the claim should be accompanied by photos. Where applicable, please also send images of any damaged packaging. Our liability will not exceed the value of the products in question. In the event of damaged product, we will work with you to repair or have a replacement sent as soon as humanly possible.
We use personal information collected from you only to fill orders you have requested; we do not share or sell your information to third parties. Our website is secure: orders placed on our site are encrypted using SSL technology so that your transactions are fully protected.
